A step-by-step guide on how to turn your SolarEdge inverter off and then on again.
Restarting your inverter can help solve a lot of common issues including:- Faults and errors that are displayed on the inverter (take note of these before restarting your inverter in case the error continues). These may relate to external factors like grid voltage or wiring
- The system not communicating with internet monitoring (you may also need to restart your modem)
- If the system is generally not performing as it should
Restarting your SolarEdge inverter:
1. To turn off your SolarEdge inverter, you will need to turn off the Main AC isolator switch.
Tip: The AC Isolator switch is commonly located adjacent to your switchboard but can also sometimes be located on your switchboard. It will be labeled the ‘Main Switch Inverter Supply’.
2. After you have turned off the AC isolator you can now turn off the DC isolator. The DC isolator switch is incorporated with the HD wave inverter design. For other models of the SolarEdge inverter, it will be located adjacent to your inverter.
3. Once this is switched off wait a few minutes for all the lights to go off on your inverter.
4. To turn your Sungrow Inverter back on, do the steps in reverse. Turn on the DC isolator switch. Followed by the AC isolator switch. Now, wait a few minutes for your inverter to turn back on
