A step-by-step guide on how to turn your inverter off and back on again!
Restarting your inverter can help fix a lot of common problems including:
- Faults and errors that are displayed on the inverter (take note of these before restarting your inverter in case the error continues). These may relate to external factors like grid voltage or wiring
- The system not communicating with internet monitoring (you may also need to restart your modem)
- If the system is generally not performing as it should

1. The first step is to open up the switchboard and find the main switch inverter supply and turn this off.
2. The next step, under the inverter you will find the DC isolator switch. You will need to turn that right until it’s off. Now the inverter is off.
TIP: Be sure to wait a few minutes before turning
your inverter back on after the shutdown procedure.
To turn your inverter back on, do the steps in reverse.
1. Turn the DC isolator switch on.
2. Then go to the switchboard and turn on the main switch inverter supply. Once you have flicked all the switches, the Fronius inverter will go through a setup procedure and take a few minutes before turning it back on.
